So, opened all your presents? Finished the turkey? Maybe even, horror of horrors, back at work? Christmas is a fading memory and that can only mean one thing – time to get your glad rags on for New Year’s Eve.

Nags Head New Year's Eve posterWe know of a few opportunities to shake a leg and see in 2011 in style around E17. Biggest disco we’ve heard about is the New Year’s Eve Party at the Nags Head on Orford Road. They are promising a DJ, Madame La Zonga’s chill-out room and optional fancy dress. Tickets are £7 from the Nags and it sounds like a riot.

If you’re looking for party bangers of a different variety, we’ve already blogged about Bootleg Blondie at the Standard on Forest Road. Perfect if you want to get down and dirty like you’re in CBGB’s in 1979.

The Village Kitchen on Orford Road are offering a New Year’s of a different flavour. For £50 per head you can enjoy their New Year’s Even Menu. Ring them on 020 8509 2144 to book.

We know there must be a more going down than we have mentioned here. Let us know by email if you know where the place to be on New Year’s Eve is. Whatever you’re up to, keep it E17.
