E17 Art House are hosting a new exhibition of film-inspired artworks from 20 East London-based artists. The launch event is on Saturday 25 June and open to everyone, with the show running until Saturday 16 July.

The ‘Picture Show’ exhibition features the work of artists, designers and photographers from East London. The show is organised by E17 Art House and the McGuffin Film Society and it follows hot on the heels of the recent ‘Save Our Cinema’ demonstration. All the artwork is for sale, with a portion of the proceeds going to McGuffins.

The premiere of ‘Picture Show’ is on Saturday 25 June from 7-10pm and sounds like a pretty cool event. The launch is at E17 Art House in their gallery and courtyard, and features live music from the Jazzaholics, refreshments (including perhaps a glass of something red or white) and nibbles proved by Eat 17. Entry is free, so you can’t say fairer than that. More information can be found on the E17 Art House website here, and you can also check out their Fb page here.
