Here’s a video of Steve White & The Protest Family performing ‘Walthamstow Dogs’ live at the Rose & Crown earlier in 2011. The song is a tribute to Leyton Orient, and this is a great live version.

You can hear more from Steve White & The Protest Family on their website. The band are playing at The Standard with The Outbursts and Subset on Sunday 2 October as part of The Stow Festival. Tickets for the gig are available from bit.ly/stowfestival104.

  • More banjo – the only thing that could improve the brilliant Protest Family

  • We’ll miss Graham’s impromptu harmonies this afternoon though. He’ll be at Waltham Forest v Eastbourne Borough in the real FA Cup.

  • Hi steve, I noticed on stella creasy notice you have done a gig at the rose & crown in support of the homeless.
You may be aware that this is an issue I am involved in through the soup van that goes our to the markey every evening and in the churches emergency night shelter now running a rolling service thru to end March 2012.
Would you be interested in learning more and if possible being involved in any way you think? Please see the facebook page for Christian Kitchen and Forest Churches Emergency Night Shelter.
Both are going well but have several challenges….Norman
