Dark Captain return to action with the launch of their second album, ‘Dead Legs & Alibis’. The band will be hosting a special album launch night at Lo & Behold bar near Brick Lane on Saturday 15 October.
The band, previously known as Dark Captain Light Captain, play a dark blend of indie/folk, with a bit of an electronica flavour in there as well. The band’s heart is in Walthamstow, and most of the album was recorded at their studio in E17. The launch party will feature Dark Captain performing tracks from the album, doing a bit of DJing, and there will also be a performance from the band Fire Stations, who indeed feature members of Dark Captain. So, if you’re a fan of the band, it’s a cracking night to get down to.
The launch party is at Lo & Behond bar on Swanfield Street near Brick Lane on Saturday 15 October, and it’s free to get in. Details are on the Facebook event page. The record ‘Dead Legs & Alibis’ is released on Monday 17 October on the label LoAF, and you can pre-order it from the band’s website. Stand up citizens that they are, they also did an interview for Stow Scene a while back, which you can read here.
Here’s a video of a track from the new record, called ‘Submarines’, which at the time of writing has already had over 14,000 views on YouTube. Chillax and enjoy.
