Tokarska Gallery, near Blackhorse Road, is hosting the launch party of Backyard, a new photography magazine. The launch party is on Friday 4 November and is open to all.

Backyard is a new online photography magazine, founded by local photographers Mark Burton and Bronwyn Goodwin. The first issue has been curated by photographer Mark Burton and features work from Jonathan Goldberg, Katherine Green, George Plemper, David Solomons, Paul Tucker and Graeme Webb – many of whom are also based in E17.

The launch party is on Friday 4 November from 6-9pm. It features projections and promises a party, open to all. It’s free but you’ll need to RSVP, which you can do by clicking here. If you’ve not been to Tokarska Gallery before, it’s worth a visit as it is a cool space, and they do marvellous launch parties. Tokarska is at 163 Forest Road, E17 6HE, about a four-minute walk from Blackhorse Road station, with directions on their website.

The Backyard website is here, and the launch issue will go live on Saturday 5 November.
