Today I was alerted on Twitter to a rather charming couple of short films entitled ‘The Collectors of Wood Street’, made by Mark Windows. They are about the market on Wood Street, Walthamstow. One was made in 2006. It is just under 9 minutes long, and is well worth a watch. I would have embedded it here, but that options has been disabled by the person who posted it, so you’ll have to go here to watch it.

It would appear that a longer version, running to 26 minutes, was produced in 2008, and screened at The Victoria Bar (the pub next to the EMD Cinema). The longer version is available to view on Google videos here.

Mark Windows has a website which has details of his other work. A hat-tip to @Andrewmalemojo and @djhistory for alerting me to the films. Here is a short trailer for the 26-minute film.
