The Guffaw Comedy Club are bringing their Christmas Cracker to the Rose & Crown on Thursday 1 December. The line-up is indeed cracking, featuring Bob Mills, Scott Capurro, Angie McEvoy, plus Susan Murray holding the evening together as compere. Ticket details are below.
Bob Mills is headlining the evening (a change to the previously advertised headliner).
Scott Capurro is from Daly City, California. He is a funny man, and also, awesomely, was in a Star Wars film. Ok, it was Phantom Menace, but I actually think Phantom Menace is underrated, it’s better than most people say it is. He ‘played’ (i.e. did the voice of) Beed, one half of Foidsinbeed Annodue, the Troig commentator on the podrace. What can I say, the dude’s been in Star Wars, so he’s alright by me. Here’s his website.
Angie McEvoy has a dry and cutting wit. She regularly performs, either as compere or performing a set in major venues around the UK, such as Highlights, The Glee and Jongleurs. Her website is here.
The Guffaw Comedy Christmas Cracker is on Thursday 1 December at the Rose & Crown on Hoe Street. It’s £12 entry and tickets are available in advance (and I’d recommend getting them in advance) from here.
