    Still think the Burke’s dancers were the highlight. Totally agree though about the sustainability of this type of event. The stage was more like the size you might see in Hyde Park. The council certainly are not forgiven for their Dog Track and Leyton Marshes decisions.

      The stage was big, wasn’t it! I had expected it to be at one end of the pitch, rather than side on. But it worked well, I thought the sound was pretty good too.

    I think what lost me for a couple of the performances was the pre-recorded backing. I have personally never been to a gig where all the music hasn’t been played live, and it felt a little odd.

    I don’t know if this is normal at ‘pop concerts; :D

    Perhaps that’s why i felt Cover Drive and Scouting For Girls were by far the best acts.

      I thought Alexandra Burke was a particular culprit with that. Her set was odd – the good bits were much better than I was expecting, but she never really got going for me. She really didn’t seem to be having a good time.
