About us

Walthamstow is at the top of the Victoria line and at the heart of the action. We might only have a corner of the dancefloor that is London, but we aim to pull shapes like our lives depend on it. This blog ran from November 2010 to December 2012 and is about what’s hot in Walthamstow, E17.

No Sleep Til Walthamstow

Walthamstow Scene covers music and cultural happenings in Walthamstow. We try and feature everything from punk to pop, classical to hip-hop, and whatever other indie/electro/folk mash-ups we can fit in. If you are based in E17 and your band’s not on the blog, it doesn’t mean we don’t care – it probably means we don’t know about you! We care a lot, so let us in on the secret and we can spread the word to the E17 movers and shakers who read this blog.

Walthamstow isn’t perfect, nowhere is. But there is a lot happening locally, and an area can only thrive if people feel a part of the community. Hopefully, we can contribute in a tiny way to that. Even if we can’t, at least we can tell you about some awesome gigs happening right on your doorstep.

Below is a video about our involvement in The Stow Festival.

Pull up a glass, watch, read, comment and enjoy.
